Staff howlers
* A few years ago at a conference, an older teacher was describing how
she motivated a "remedial" (as they then were) class. "Well, my little
elfs need some looking after....my little elfs take a lot of
effort....." and more in the same vein.
At question time, she was asked did she not think it a bit patronising
and rather old fashioned to call her unruly students little elfs?
"Ah", she said, "But you don't know what it stands
for!"......................................................
"E L Fs.....evil little f****rs!"
* Some years ago a teacher in a FE college heard some colleagues
regularly referring to their "craft students". Eventually he had to
ask...what craft is it these students study?
Don't be silly, they said (or words to that effect)...
C R A F T.....can't remember a f****ing thing!
